¡Todos Unidos! Dual Immersion Program Information

Our goal is to develop students who are bilingual, bi-literate, and bicultural.

• We offer a warm & inclusive atmosphere where students are welcomed and celebrated for their unique backgrounds and abilities.

• ¡Todos Unidos! is an 80/20 model.  All initial literacy instruction is in Spanish, and formal English literacy is introduced in 2nd grade.

• Students learn language through discussion and interaction.  Learning a second language requires a strong focus on oracy skills;  regular attendance is the key!

• At the elementary level, math is in Spanish and Science / Social studies / Health is in English.  This flips in Middle School. 

• Parent support is critical.  Students won't "catch up" in their English literacy skills until 4th-5th grade.  Parents must be committed to remaining in the program through at least 5th grade as well as actively supporting Spanish language development at home.
